Looking for recommendations for a new turbo for my 2003 automatic pickup truck. My existing turbo developed a hole in the housing near the down pipe side! Cast iron! Incredible what years of salt can do to a vehicle! The truck is stock except for custom built trans from level 10 performance and 4" exhaust. Pull trailers during warm months and plow snow in winter months. Any recommendations on turbo size and or good company to deal with. It would greatly be appreciated. Frank

I luv my Tater Built Turbo, He uses a stock 351 or 341 Holset turbo, machines them and adds larger wheels. Better flow, less back pressure and same as stock look. Sounds like a Cheetah but costs less. You would need a core though or pay a bit more. I sent my old one in after i got my tater.
Many good turbos out there, ask around, you dont want a too big turbo that smokes and is laggy.
Wish you well!

ACerf- still have one more kid in college (two more years to go!),then we need to make a decision! The salt is not only the problem but also the cost of living! If you would like to see what salt can do to a turbo check out my post entitled "blew transmission". Turbo wheel was fine but the casing had a two-three inch hole on the bottom half! Also, organicfarmer wish I had Austin's Facebook page, I probably could have got him a lot sooner! So far so good w/ his 62/65/12 Turbo, even with the slight whistle! It really turns the guys heads driving them Ferds and Chevy's!!!! Bring it on Boys!!!!
