Wheel Well Liner Install PICTURES here

Dodge dropped the REAR wheel well liners from their stock trucks with the 03 model year. You can purchase them for less than $100 for the pair and install them in about 1/2 hour. Very simple DIY job.

Every piece of hardware and pre-manufactured attach points makes Dodge OEM installs the best in the business. This is the third accessory I've installed and can honestly say... . Dodge does it right. []

Basically you simply remove the rear short liner held on with (3) screws. Install (4) spring thread plates onto the new liners. Shove the liner into the wheel well (no need to remove the tires) and install (7) screws. They all line up perfectly.

How timely, just picked up a set this afternoon and will install them when I return in about 10 days. Good pictures, and answers a few questions I had.

I agree. Why these are not included from the factory is beyond me. That being said i purchased a set from the dealer about a week after I took delivery of the truck and am very satisfied. They are a very simple install. Great Pics!!

Nice Job, looks great.

Dodge knows what they're doing. Just a little perk for them. You get to purchase them at list price and the dealer makes a little more money off you, the customer.

I want to have them installed before I leave the dealership.

I agree they should be intalled at the factory. I live on a gravel road and the sound of rocks hitting the back of the cab had me installing them the first week! A new "plus" is they protect my FASS setup. Couldn't imagine mountiong that big expensive unit in the path of all those rocks!

I liked the insatll directions - no wording, just pictures. Really got a kick out of the picture of the removed piece with the arrow pointing to the trash can.

But everyone's right - the liners should be standard equipment. And gauges should be part of the diesel package.

I had the wheel well liners on my 01. 5 from the factory. My 04. 5 does not have them, and I think I like it that way. It sure makes it easier to work on the back end, like the 5er hitch brackets, removing the rear axle spacers, etc. I very seldom drive on gravel, so that's not an issue to me. YMMV.

I had the salesman include them in my deal. The parts guy said these aren't included with your truck, but I showed him the promise of this addition in my paperwork and he seemed kind of upset.

I installed the liners on my 2-wheel drive truck and even though it sits lower and you don't see in the wells so much it still makes a big difference and gives the truck a finished look.

I am curious. Is this just a SRW problem ?... My '03 DRW came with them, and I don't recall it being listed as added on. (bought off the lot - didn't order the truck, and can't find the window sticker.

Liners

Yo Hoot,

Thanks for the photo details and description.

I also had mine installed with the purchase of the truck. They did it for $100 or so, with the part. I didn't want to leave without them, or mudflaps. I brought mudflaps and had them add them and the 315's right at the dealership.
