After losing lift pump on back of fuel filter I decided to install the in tank conversion kit. After installing tank fuel module I installed wiring harness and connected the two pin relay harness to the two pin transfer pump harness. Then connected the B+ terminal to the driver side B+ on battery. Then I disconnected the 14 pin Chassis to Headlamp and Dash connector and inserted the final wire into the connector pin in position #5 as per directions. Refilled tank and pump does not pump. turned on pump relay via scantool. Relay clicks on and off and i get power to fuel module connector terminal in slot 1 when looking straight at connector. Thought pump was bad from dodge. Pulled tank and checked voltage at yellow wire connecting to pump. Getting 12volts. Checked voltage to black wire connecting to pump and am getting 12volt to it as well. Shouldn't black be ground? Removed fuel module from under bed and connected yellow wire via jumper to B+ and black wire via jumper to B-. The pump works. The manufacter date on door is 12-2003 am I needing a flash? Any help would be appreciated.

I know you did not purchase the retro kit from him... , but he will help you anyway, I would bet on it. He knows the "ins" and "outs" of all these kits. Plus he will make you a future customer.

if you had under a 100k it would have been covered under warranty. I think it may need a flash. Have you called the dealer and asked??
