We at Edge products are happy to announce that the "Hot" Juice for the 2004. 5-2005 Cummins 600 is now available! The information for this is not on our website yet, so if interested immediately please contact us at: Technical Support and we will get you the necessary forms.

Thank you for your continued support.

This must be a misprint... you REALLY meant for the 2003-2004 didn't ya!!! :p

I know, I know... . I'll sit in my hole and keep waiting... tick tick tick.

Well I am going to call again in the morning, I called today to find out when it would be available. I talked with one of your tech support people around noon today and he assured me after checking with more than one additional source, while I was on hold, that the HOT Juice would be available in TWO WEEKS. Since I am already irritated about the Transmission monitoring not working, because I have bigger than stock tires, this just irritates me more. I would have already sent the box back for upgrade, since it is off while I try the XZillaraider Race box.

Don't worry. Next month, for sure. Really... this time.

Yeah, yeah, that's the ticket :-laf

Edge has missed the boat in my opinion with the 305/555'ers and it looks like they may never come out with the juice for those. The way they've gone about lying to us with the 'one more month' line should be thoroughly embarassing for Edge. I was so glad when the Xzillaraider came out, it did everything I wanted without all the Edge bs. I think it's garbage that you can't reach all of the power levels of the juice without having the attitude monitor. A lot of people have gauges already, and don't want the clutter of adding another monitor.

The Juice/Attitude for the HO 600+ documents 5 levels of additional power. 1=20hp, 2=40hp, 3=60hp, 4=80hp, 5=100hp and level 0=stock. With the Juice by itself documents 3 level of additional power with a 3 position, switch position 1=60hp, position 2=80hp and position 3=100hp. You kinda lose the low power settings used for mileage and towing it seems.

Juice/Attitude 20/40/60/80/100

Juice 25/40/80

Hot Juice/Attitude 40/60/80/100/180

Hot Juice 40/60/100

Sorry for the confusion,

There ya' go. Straight from the horses mouth. Buy our gauges or you get screwed out of two settings. That's pretty sad. Even if they do release a box for the 555 I for one won't even be trying it. Why waste your money when you don't even get all of the levels?

Guys start a new thread if you want to bash.

Edge simply stated they have a new product out.

Want to cry? do it on another thread.

Ever wonder why vendors don't use the forums????

I apologize for my quick post. It came out so fast I didn't think about what the underlying tone was. I agree, vendors don't like to use forums, due to the sometimes negative responses.

I realize that the Juice w/ Attitude is a very good product produced by a very good company which is repeatedly commended for their customer service by members of this site.

It has such a good reputation that a lot of people have been waiting to get their device for the '03 and '04 trucks. In fact, I would have purchased the Edge Juice w/ Attitude if it was available. It's only normal the people who have been waiting for this product to be frustrated by the lack of response, or lack of addressing the fact that the unit is not out, and may never come out. I personally opted for a different solution.

Edge could simply say that the '03 and '04 trucks will not be supported. Period. They could also state that they are having some development problems. At least there will be an answer. There may be some negative feedback, but people would move on.

I think it's appropriate that the '03-'04 product is brought up in this thread. Many are interested in the product, whether for a 555 or a 600. Perhaps the posts regarding the 555 were made in the hopes that Edge would finally give an answer?

I am not trying to bash anyone here, just expressing an opinion. IMO you cannot separate the Juice/Attitude for the 555/600 into two separate categories. Correct me if I'm wrong but it is, after all, the same unit with different programming. Other box manufacturers can support both common rails, so it's reasonable to expect the same from Edge.

As far as starting another thread, I don't think that would help anything. There have been several threads addressing the 555 Juice w/ Attitude, or lack thereof.

This thread was started by Edge, so let Edge hear what people have to say.

Do I need a flame suit here?

amen i would hate to be a company if you don't like the product don't buy it. quit you _____ about me on the other hand i love the juice what a thrill to drive the truck with it on.

Please accept our apologizes in regards to the 03-04 Dodge Juice. I think here at Edge Products we have learned a very good lesson about the TDR members and there importance to our business. Hopefully you individual’s understand that we did not want to disappoint you and are very sorry if we have.

So all of you that have waited so patiently please feel free to call and let me have it.

Thanks,

As a manufacturer I get this a fair amount. We throw in some items on our higher priced trailers that we can't do on the base trailers due in part to lack of margin. It's like buying an ST model, and complaining that you didn't get heated leather seats.

If they can get it, and they do, more power to them.

With that said, you STILL haven't said whether or not the 305/555 project is abandoned or still going. We get such conflicting answers.

In any case, I wouldn't buy the juice/attitude for the 305/555 at this point anyway, there are better options out IMO.

Jwilliams - according to your post's logic, then nobody should have replied at all, we should have just let Edge announce their product... ? If you don't like being exposed to any sort of tough questions/comments, maybe this isn't the forum for you. . ? No offense, but most of us around here like to get real answers, and aren't afraid to stir up the pot a little to get some info. . Also considering how Edge has strung us along for this long with the 'one more month' stuff, I don't think they have some tough questions they have to face.

The funny thing is now that the 600 Hot is done that would leave an engineering team available to work on something else... ... ... ... ... ummmmmmmm, maybe the 03-04 Dodge Juice. Also we are not starting form scatch so that should help.

Lightman,

Maybe you ought to read the 2nd sentence you posed at me over again... .

Take your own advice.

I'll say how I feel, if you don't like it... tough.

No offense :)

Thanks,

To all of those reading this post. EDGE is a great company to deal with. Aaron is top notch IMO.

I've got two boxes (one duramax, one cummins). I was also Beta tester for the 600. (and yes, you can thank me for my extremely hard work to insure that your 600 box is perfect :-laf )

Both my boxes work flawlessly, and I am very pleased with the results. There might be several boxes out their that have more HP, but at what risk are you willing to take with extremely high pressures or EGTs?

I'm sure EDGE is in this business for a profit, and I'm sure that they understand that not having a box for the 555 is lost opportunities, but you fail to remember that these computer control trucks are extremely complicated. IT TAKES TIME to develop the software to make it work. The market for potential sales vs. Invested capital (R&D costs) showes a higher return on the 600's over the 555's. Pretty simple economics.

(as a side note, Lightman, do you EVER say anything positive on this forum? you always moan and groad about everything. I can't recall ever seeing something positive come out of you  Jwilliams is right, if you don't like it, move on, quit crying or better yet, if its so easy, design one yourself and make $$$ )

Yea, what he said.

BTW why would they spend so much time on a box thats only good for 03-04. Yea you guys want/need it but if you look at where there going to make more money. I agree with the decision to make the 600 first but of course I have a 600. Anyways enough of my BS :-laf

What are you all talking about. . the Juice/Attitude for the 305/555 is sweet :-laf I've had it since 04/2004. . Ok ok enough of me rubbing it in. Hey JUICE... I am patiently waiting for the HOT box :D I wish the Juice/Attitude was released for us 305/555 boys and girls. I need some fellow 305/555 members to discuss it with :D

I don't think the regular Juice for the 03/04 trucks will do much in sales given the high price for what you get compared to everything else that is out there, but I think the Hot Juice will do rather well... better than they (Edge) ever expected. The only comparable alternative is the TST, which behaves much better on the 04. 5/05 trucks than the 03/04s. Myself and many others I have talked to have run every version of the TST box and every updated version of their software and we still have codes and RPM surge problems on the early model trucks. If TST's new programmer can't figure these out, I may very likely be at the front of the line to try the hot juice even though I am just as disappointed as the rest of you at the lag time. I won't like it, but if I have to I will suck up my pride and loose 20hp for a completely trouble free product... . make up the difference with pressure on race day. ;)
