I cannot seem to find this info in search. We want to install an exhaust brake, the Dodge says anything other than mopar will void the warranty. Others say pacbrake is fine. I can't find anything on Dodge website either. As always thanks for your help.

The mopar brake is made by Jacobs and can be purcuased from Dodge or a Cummins service center.

Other's will chime in regarding non-OEM products.

Bd Ok

My dealer has only one problem with my BD brake and that is that the installer tapped into the TPS wire. They know its for the exhaust brake which I cleared with them before I bought it, so it's all good.

Jacobs is the one to choose if you don't want warrantee troubles but where my warrantee was voided early I chose diffrently. Personally, I don't believe Jacobs has the best design on the market.

I bought my Jake from a Dodge dealer and had them install it so that I wouldn't have any warranty problems, although I liked the Pac better because it doesn't require a vacuum pump that is always engaged. The Pac uses air which could be produced with a small compressor that wouldn't always be on. These dealers are such pr*cks when it comes to warranty work I just didn't want to take any chances with the engine warranty, I've probably already screwed up my suspension warranty by installing Kore.
