I recently ordered a 3500 CTD (600) QC 4X4 Laramie and it since has been built. It sat for two weeks in quality control status and it finally shipped to Tampa where it sits with another quality control issue. Does anyone have an idea what the control is for? I know the first time it was for the exhaust hanger. My vin #4G1952** if this help in identifying the issue at hand. It's only two short hours away from being delivered!

Our truck was ordered December 3rd, built on January 9th and from there went into quality control for three weeks. As of today, February 17th, it is still in Mexico. Rather frustrating to say the least.

Ordered mine on 12/30/03. Today it is sitting in the rail yard waiting to be off loaded and put on a over the road carrier so it works out to be about 8 weeks from order to delivery. VIN is 4G2016**.

Oo. Oo. Oo.

It's soooooooo close to being mine!!!!!!!!!

Update 2/18/04 5:21 central. UP lists the rail car with my truck on it as empty ready for redistribution or something like that! Looks like my truck will be at the dealer tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!

:D :D

2004.5

ordered on 12/2/03 and it was sitting at the dealer this mon. and drove it home tuesday night. this dealer has a black 3500 dually with all the good stuff sitting on the lot from an order that the guy changed his mind. located in SC:cool:

Just got a call from DC and our truck is back in quality control again for another two weeks. This is where it has been since January 9th. Cancelled the order. This would have been our sixth Dodge/Cummins. They have all been great trucks. Just did not feel right about getting a truck that has been in quality control for almost two months.

Perhaps they are waiting for the flash that's supposed to be available in early March. If that's the case, and the flash cures the hesitation problem that some are having, I'd be more than willing to let them hang onto it till its right.

DC says mine shipped today, and should have it in 15 days (yeah, right), but nothing about QC. On the contrary, I think that they are trying to get trucks to dealers who have probably complained to Mother Mopar about shipping delays.

About the flash - I'm thinking it's already being implemented on trucks on the line. Probably be a TSB or "silent" recall for those trucks already out there in March.

Just my opinion, and guess.

I also have some concerns about a $40. 000. 00 truck parked in a lot for three months in Mexico. I have been looking forward to this truck since I sold my last Dodge/Cummins in August. Long time without a truck. I am a very good customer of Dodge and have not appreciated the way this current situation has been handled.

Lharper--mine was built on Jan 9th and in Spokane dealer Dishman Dodge on Feb 9th and my hot little hands Feb 10th. Already designed a flatbed for it and pulling my 02 apart (just sold-sight unseen by lady in Enumclaw). Truck is silver SRW 3500 4by auto SLT. Came through like greased lightening. God is good. geusterman

Same Story!

I have the same issue. Ordered on Jan 3rd. Completed on Jan 20th. Moved to JS status on the 21st (Shipped to storage). Feb 9th. it finally moved to KZ (Released, Invoice) and has sat there waiting to be put on a train. I just called and its still just sitting there.

KBieschke, I had a good talk this morning with a guy at DC and he said my truck would not be on hold for the computer flash. He was aware of the flash and said trucks are being sent out and would be programmed at the dealers next month. When I asked him what he thought could be holding these up, he said it could be anything. He did mention possible safety issue. Could be something as simple as a tire issue. I just wish DC could let us know what the issue is. Sure would make the wait easier. In checking with my dealer this morning, they have four other trucks that were ordered and built about the same time as ours that are also being held. If you find out anything, please post and I will do the same. Thanks.

My truck was completed on Jan. 10th and it finally arrived this

past wednesday. I thought it would never get here. It has the Laramie pkg. + 4. 10 rear, heated seats, gps navigational radio,

anti-slip, towing pkg. I tried to attach a picture that was taken last night but the file was to big. How can I do this. I forgot to add

that it's a 3500 4x2 dooley, molten red.

Ordered 1/19, went D1 2/5, shipped yesterday 2/18, due at Port of Baltimore 3/3. Everything has proceeded smoothly so far; I don't want to jinx myself, so I'm knocking wood, as I type this.

It finally came. Picked ours up last night. It has been a long wait. This one is a replacement for the one that got totaled on the ship in Dec. Reordered end of Dec and it was shipped Jan. 21, dealer got in on Feb 18. It looks and drives great. First time owning a diesel. Can't wait to tow with it. The paint looks like glass. They are now using metal plugs on the floor pan plugs. No tape or rubber. Keeping it under 50 is hard to do. Thanks to everyone on the forum for all the great info.
