i was sooo happy last night when i fueled and got 13mpg as most of the time is around 10 or 11. I have just about gave up on getting any thing close to my old truck that was set up all the same but had a 6sp and 505ftlb engine that i belive will pull the new one backwards.

10,11,12 MPG?

:{ Man and I was a little annoyed getting my all time worse of 15. 6 last tank after towing a trailer, driving a lot of really short trips, and running around the fields at the farm.

Best to date was 18. 5 to and from Lake Opinicon Canada at 70-75 MPH, including around town, the lake, and highway.

Ordinarily 16. 5-17. 5 is what I get now, to work back roads, some highway.

Really drops if one has stop and go traffic.

All mileage is hand calculated, but the computer is only off by around 2/10.

I gained 2 mpg after driving back and fourth from FLA. to NJ. Picked up the 2mpg after I got home, avg speed on 95 was 75mph. Turned 8500miles after trip next tank showed improvement. Hand calc, filled nek so I could see fuel. MPG. 17. 4.

04. 5 6spd. , 4x4 Quad swb, 3500.

2004.5 fuel mileage

I would be happy with the mileage most of you all are getting! I love my new truck but hate the mileage... . 9. 5 mpg city, 12 to 13 highway at 70 mph (empty). It is a 3500, LWB, dually, 4x4 with the 4:10 rear. I only have 1200 miles on it and have been towing a 8500 lb trailer occasionally so it is getting a mild work out. I am really hoping to see an improvement as I put more miles on it.

Does anyone else have these kind of mileage numbers? If so... did they really get better with more miles?

I'm getting about 11. 5 mpg according to the overhead computer. Daily driving in town. I haven't done any hand calculations but, I'm sure that it is in the ballpark. I have about 3000 miles on the clock.

I just got back from towing my fiver to Bass Lake and I averaged 8. 5 mpg. The computer was saying that I was getting 12. 2. I have 7425 miles on the truck and cannot wait until the engine breaks in.

zues - sounds familiar - when you get up to 14K like me you can look forward to 9. 8 and pressing on past one more exit before you have to fill up.

I have 6700 miles on my 2500 QC 4x4 325/600 auto 48RE. Milage improved from 12. 5 to 13. 5 city/freeway driving unloaded. Not sure you can call that an improvement. Now I do sometimes drive like I stole it, maybe I should have stole a 305/555. I am eyeballing BOMBs, cant be worse, milage increase would pay for BOMBs in long run. That's my story and I am sticking to it.

JVolpe,

You are correct some Bombs help!!! I added TST and helped mileage 1. 5-2. 5 depending on driving style. Plus truck goes awesome... I am running 3/3 and loving it.

I am definately sticking to that story... Get the TST
