If you have been following the group buy thred this is the best deal I could find. Eric Todd of Lithia Dodge in Eugene Oregon (541) 343-1700, cell (541) 543 6046, and Richard Hines of Gresham Dodge in Oregon (503) 666-2277 have both agreeded to sell the Dodge trucks at $1,000. 00 below invoice. I just bought mine from Eric Todd because He was closer to California. I paid $36,625. 00 out the door for a fully loaded 3500 ram turbo diesel 4x4 with gps navigation, laramie, auto trans, two tone paint, protection group, power mirrors, engine block heater, 4. 10 gears, rear anti-spin diff, trailer tow, front hood protection, heated front seats, and a tank of gass and this is California emissions. if you want a deal call the above number and say you heard this from Rick Morris on the TDR. This is $4,000. 00 below invoice

$1000. 00 below invoice

$2500. 00 dodge rebate

$500. 00 farmer rebate

This is $ 4000. 00 below invoice

Just to confirm- it's not a problem registering it in California? You take it to the CA DMV and pay your local sales tax and you're good to go?

Erik

And I thought my local dealer was being nice by offering to sell me a new hot-off-the-transporter ISB325/600 for $100 over invoice!

I'd rather fly to Oregon and drive it back!

If anyone out there is closer to st. louis, i will be more than happy to still do the 3% under invoice for TDR and DTR members...

congrats bellyscraper !!! - that dealer is one lucky dealer, for sure

The only real sticking point is the emissions, it has to have the California emissions code. Other than that, it's a piece of cake. Have a large wad of cash with you, sales tax in my area is 7. 5% and you pay all of it at registration time.

slo-ryde, you're right. you can only get the CA emissions sticker in CA and bordering states (AZ, NV, and OR).

The bordering states are allowed to order option code "YCF (Emissions -- Border States (Calif)"

That's copied verbatim from my order sheet.

Dodge dealers in other states can even input that code into their ordering system. There is only one engine and that's what ticked everybody off in the first place. How dare CA and Dodge limit our choices? Can you believe that?

Anyway, you can order in Oregon and bring it to your local CA DMV and get tags.

I have talked to someone here in cali that said when he ordered from Idaho, they told him no problem with ordering cali legal trucks and that they do it all the time. How can this be?

I ordered mine today from Eric.

MSRP: $44,205

Invoice: $39,534

Your Price: $38,534

Rebates: $3,000

Fees: $70

TOTAL: $35,604

Job well done Rick!

Thanks but it's Eric Todd who should get the kudos for at least doing what no other dealers are and thats trying to please the customer not trying to make any extra cash.

The one nice thing about buying out of state isnt only that you get a better deal it's that makes you pay case for tax and license fees which isnt added into your payment. It's kind of like putting down more money on a vehicle at purchase time and thus haveing less to finance thus less monthly payment.

OK, now dumb question. What about trade in? In Pa. we only pay sales tax on the difference. So if I sell my truck outright and then buy a truck with out trading, then I have to pay sales tax on the entire amount. With that in mind I could pay about 1500. more on tax plus the trip out there. That eats into the good deal pretty fast.

I know in most states you are supposed to pay taxes on the total sales price, not sales price - trade in.

I'm going to give tomeygun a call on Monday or Tuesday to talk about a new truck order.

Does anyone know of a dealer closer to Maryland offering the $1000 below invoice. I have a trade that I may need to make apart of the deal.

Thanks... ... the CTD is getting closer Oo. Oo.

if there are any dealers out there listening feel free to email me at -- email address removed -- and we'll talk.

Brad, my dealer, D'Ambrosio's, couldn't quite match Tomey's price, but I prefered it for a couple reasons:

1. I would have had to drive to St. Louis, trade my truck, drive back home - that's a week. Amount I would spend in fuel and motel rooms would pretty much eradicate any savings.

2. I like to establish a relationship with a dealer for service, etc.

However, Tomey CAN drop ship. There's still the matter of selling your current vehicle, but we know the issue there at the moment.

Email me if you like.
