2004.5 Weird Lamp Out Message

Here's my situation:

Just replaced old PIAA headlight bulbs that burned out for new. Now when I turn on the parking lights I get a lamp out display and a fast turn signal when signaling right with no bulb operation.

Turn off parking lights and lamp out message goes away and turn signal returns to normal speed and flashes.

I did not touch the turn signal bulbs at all so I'm left wondering WTH? Will someone let me know where to start looking to get this fixed please? Thank you.

Probably bumped one of the elements inside the right turn signal bulb when you replaced the headlight bulb. Could be creating a short / open circuit. I'd start by swapping the front right turn signal bulb (it doubles as the parking light) and see what that does for you.....

We've had problems with our trucks and the lamp out light with nothing wrong and found bad connections at the bulbs...

We've since pulled the bulbs and cleaned the connections, and put some dielectric grease on the connections and have cured the problem...

The dielectric grease is available at most good auto parts stores and the big box home improvement stores in the electrical department... .

Thanks Jay and Jim. I have some dielectric grease at home. I'll try cleaning the connectors and using the grease.

If that doesn't work, I'll proceed with what Jay suggested.
