The boost is MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) which is psia verses psig, zero psig is equal to 14. 7 psia at sea level, thus 35 psia is equal to 20 psig. So I think those readings are normal and that is not the issue, unless they are seeing an actual reading of 35 psig. Let us know when you find something out.

You got nothing to loose by replacing the boost sensor and it might do the trick. Give it a whirl.

My MAP / boost sensor went out on mine and when it did, the truck would not run faster than 55mph on flat ground empty. Hills were almost impossible to climb. New MAP / boost sensor and the truck has been running like new ever since. JME. ;)

Tried to order a map sensor from dodge , there is only 5 in the whole country ,located in lousiana. won't be able to get one till late next week. I think I should have bought a ford at least there would be an explanation for no power. LOL

I think you can get the sensor from a Cummins shop - you don't have to go through the dealership to get it. I seem to remember guys talking about getting these sensors WAY cheaper (something like $40) from Cummins - but it was on the 2nd gen forum - don't know if the sensors are the same for your engine. Good luck and I hope you get your power!

Sounds to me like you need to get on the Phone and call the president of the Company. . I did that on a new tractor I had. No parts in the world they told me and it was tore down in the dealers shop for 5 months. I personally checked incoming freight in New York, Called Australia, Canada, Mexico..... Finally Called Ratliff, the president of AGCO and he made the bozos under him search every dealer that had received that part and located one, flew it in and tractor was together in 2 days, Unfortunately Mechanics put it together wrong and it ate up the parts when I backed it out of their shop to bring it home. Raise Some Hell! We all got together and raised cain about the way white nights parents were treated by a dealer in Missouri over warranty, Now lets raise some cain and find out WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO DC TO EXPEDITE REPAIR OF THIS TRUCK AND GET THIS MAN BACK IN BUSINESS. THIS ALREADY HAS GONE ON TOO LONG. YOU DON'T BUY A NEW TRUCK SO ALL YOUR PALS CAN PLAY WEEKEND MECHANIC AND $1000 SPIN THE WHEEL TO GUESS THE ANSWER FOR A REPAIR. Surprise too , it didn't take very long to get parts the second time either.

R/R ,I would be upset, and remind that dealer some us use are trucks for making a living{commercial use} most dealers have a BIG problem in this area. This attitude that repair when convenient,Or I can"t find anything wrong , your the problem.

RoadRunner,,

I'm curios. Roughly,, How much money did you end up loosing because of the dealerships lack of ability to replace a fuel filter?

I am really glad to see you going! Your experience with the dealer is pretty much the type of service we have received from many companies. After aprox. 25 new machines and 4 new vehicles my wife and I recently decided we were no longer going to buy new or depend on warranty work. After 25 years of wrenching I thought I was through but now I do it because I can't stomach the thought of the hassel trying to get someone to the work right the first time. I have a CNC machine that Has been costing me thousands of dollars in payments for the last 3 years and they have just finally got it running correctly after all this time. I might as well had it worked on at the car dealer or tractor dealership to get the same results. The only machine I have that I don't know how to fix... ..... but I am learning. Good LUCK!!!!Oo.

MCUMMINGS,

I lost just over 8000. 00 In loads that I was forced to cancel or broker to other carriers in the past 2 weeks:mad: . I don't understand what the dealer was thinking  ? I have purchased 3 Ram 3500 Duallys in the past 12 months from This Dealer___1 03 and 2 04's all of them were loaded crew cab 4x4's , And I will be replacing them every year or so with new ones. They have lost my business !! There are many more Dodge dealers out there . You know Chrysler don't want to hear you can't make you payment becuase you truck is in the shop and you have not been able to make any money . I feel that Chrysler needs to have a certified diesel tech @ each dealer ,and they need to send them to school on these engines . Not just promote the oil change guy to diesel tech. I will be informing chrysler of how this matter was handled !!
