Should all 2500/3500 CTD come with 34 gallon fuel tank?

Trying to decide on Laramie vs. SLT. I got a few questions on new interior changes; Brushed aluminum vs. wood grain and high contrast leather seats? Would someone post images of new 2004 Laramie interior?

Tried Dodge.com and found zero images of Laramie. Thanks. By the way the local dealer also has no brocheres and no 2004 Laramies on lot!?

i like the silver trim 100x more than the wood grain... my local dealer had one and i took a peak at it & liked it. i never liked wood grain in a vehicle myself though...

I am assuming you don't have a copy of the 2004 sales brochure, which has this information in it.

The Laramie has certain features that you may want, or not want:

(1)dual zone air conditioning vs. regular on SLT. In other words, if the passenger wants more or less AC, you need to adjust the vents on the SLT manually; (2) fog lamps (actually driving lights, as they are white not yellow)are std on Laramie--optional on SLT; (3) chrome side bars on grille (SLT has black background); (4) HomeLink; (5) light group (optional on SLT); (6) flat load floor on quad cab (optional on SLT and included with leather in SLT); (7) auto dimming rear view mirror (optional on SLT), (8) chrome side moldings (black on SLT as option); (9) power adjustable pedals; (10) power outlet in business console; (11) silver interior accents; (12) power seat (optional on SLT); leather seats (optional in SLT but apparently with different center panels--"preferred suede" on Laramie; (13) security alarm and sentry key (optional on SLT); (14) 6 disc CD (optional on SLT); (15) steering wheel audio controls and Infinity sound, (16) leather steering wheel (optional on SLT individually or included with leather seat); (17) front seat center cushion storage (optional on SLT with leather or premium cloth power seat); (18) electric shift transfer case (if 4x4); (19) sliding rear window (optional on SLT).

In summary, many of the features of the Laramie can be ordered separately as options on the SLT. A few things such as chrome grille bars, silver interior accents, electric shift transfer case, or leather seats are things that some folks DON'T want, so they might prefer to start with the SLT and specify the options they want.

I liked the wood grain. I guess there's no accounting for taste (mine). The silver trim is one reason I think a silver exterior would be cool. I also liked the body color side moldings. I am starting to like the all chrome grill though. It's good to see the light group in the new package. Long live the light group.

I think the butt warmers are only an option on the laramie. And being the leather seats are required for the butt warmers I just went with the package. The option may have opened up if I went leather on the SLT. I really do not put that much value on leather seats. I am all for comfort and utility. I think modern cloth seats do much better than even the best leather ( opinion ) I would have skipped the leather in a heartbeat if I could have gotten all the other stuff. I liked it better when it was a separate option. Still waiting for delivery can't wait to drive it.

Kornstad,

Thanks for pushing me away from Ford and to the Dodge. I went with the Laramine. If you want to drive it or just look at it let Won know. I love it. No problems other than pull to right that many of the trucks seem to have.

My vote was for the Laramine as some of the options such as heated seat, I could not get with the SLT. Also, I plan to keep the truck for a long time so the "value" to me was in having all the comforts, bells and whistles as the difference in cost wont matter in 7-10 years. Besides I was able to get the 1% below invoice that you guys get, plus $2500 off, plus $750 military discount so I cant complain.
