2004 QC LB 2nd REAR END CHANGE IN 1000 MILES

The Dodge dealer replaced a universal and it seems much better. So I hope I will not have to go into the diff.

I have had rer end howl/whine since I bought the truck. It was intermittent at first then started to get louder and now that I'm out of warranty /93k it is really loud. Maybe I'll take the EB approach and wait and see what happens. Buddy of mine took it for a ride and said that he thought that it was bearings but that its really hard to tell without tearing it down.

I recently bought a used 03, 79K miles.



There is a noticable hum from the rear at about 35 MPH and up -- only under power.



Any thoughts? I'm totally new to this breed of truck, so all the sounds are new to me.
