Torque Converter Cooler/Heat Exchanger Issue

Fuel System Cleaner

Hello Everyone,

I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 5.9l. It has about 330,000km on it now. I have decided to do a full rehabilitation on it since having to rebuild the transmission for the second time. I want to make sure to replace/rebuild everything that is close to or at its life’s end. I also want to use the most economical parts. Here is a list of what I have done so far and what I plan to do. In everyone’s opinion, am I missing anything?

Replaced:
-Rebuilt transmission and new lines
-New torque converter heat exchanger
-Fan clutch
-Water pump and thermostat
-Sway bar links
-Ball Joints
-Fuel filter
-Cat back exhaust
-Drive shaft U joints
-Front linkage (Grease/dust boots already torn)

To Be Replaced:
-Hydraulic booster seems to be leaking into cab
-Brake calipers don’t seem to move freely (should I replace or try and rebuild)?
-Brake lines seem to have very minor leaks
-Master brake cylinder (seems to have minor leak)
-Parking brake handle snapped
-Heater core and evaporator
-Blower
-Injectors (should I be doing these?)

Thank you to everyone for your input

Your frame! How’s your frame? This is becoming the next big thing if you’re in the rust belt. More info here -

While you’re in the heater box, consider fixing the blend doors. There are kits out there to do this.
If you haven’t done your injectors yet, you probably should. This is another debate. When I do mine, I’m going with OEM Bosch NEW units.
I appreciate your effort to save your truck. I have similar intentions!

X2 concerning the frame. Make sure that it is in good shape under the cab before you invest in anything else for that truck.
