2005 Auto transmission temp question

A friend just bought a 05 auto and he wants to hook up a transmission temp sensor, any suggestions as to how to besides drilling the pan?

There are multiple ports on the side of the trans passenger side . He will need to adapt it out because it won't thread in . Use the search feature and you will find multiple threads on the subject

Go to Mass diesel and buy the transmission cooler line with the fitting brazed on. Hook-up is super easy. I found that not all of the ports on the side of the transmission get oil flow all the time leading to strange readings. With the sensor in the transmission line going to the cooler, you get good consistent readings.

I assume that the 05 48re is the same as the 04. 5 48re. Get a Tansmission to Transmission Cooler replacement line from www.massdiesel.com. Just like the OE line, but has a T-Fitting for the sensor. Very simple to install.
