well, i have torn my tires up to much and will be needing new ones in a few thousand miles. a friend of mine just lifted his stuper duty and has the stock rims and tires. its a 2005 4x4 F250 with a 6. 0 powerstink. will the rims fit? meaning are they hubcentric or lug centric? the tires have identicle specs for size and load rating. i want to buy 19. 5's in the future, but dont have the cash now. the backspacing is the same and i know i ned new lug nuts... but will they fit and be safe?

thanks

I don't know if Jeff is right or not, but the tires themselves are exactly the same specs as Dodge's and will fit your stock wheels.

yeah, i like the aluminum rims, and they are lighter. less un sprung weight and a little nicer to look at. i guess ill call the dealer up and find out the specs of the furd bolt pattern.

thanks

The wheels I had on my Ford in 2001 were 16" and had a metric bolt pattern. I think that still holds true. What size are the wheels on the 05 Ford? Are they using 17's now too?

the ford bolt pattern is 8x170mm while ours are 8x6. 5". . 170mm is about 6. 7". they will not bolt on...

they have 17" as standard now, and 18" and 20" are options on different packages [harley, kingranch... ]

and their duallys have 245/70 on them i believe

They are hubcentric. The 3rd gen wheels i put on my 97 were lugcentric.

The Dodge OEM wheels are also hubcentric.

Yes I am hoping more 18" tires will come available. I think Ford went to a deeper offset to about the same as Dodge too, so MAYBE, just MAYBE, we'll FINALLY get a decent aftermarket wheel selection too!!
