Recommend who to get replacement fuel injectors from, and install parts, and what injectors. Dont want any ricky racer stuff

Stock 2005

Is doing a 3rd gen about the same as doing a 2nd gen?

Get factory new Bosch or BBi new/reman.
Injector change is no rocket since and can be done with basic hand tools strictly following the FSM*.

*except the torque on the connector tube which is 10 higher then back then.

The XX% over stock means just that, those injectors can squirt XX% MORE fuel than a stock injector can.

If you've searched the forum, the word is you really, really want to go with either NEW Bosch (difficult to find, sometimes mislabeled) or with the more preferred BBIs (either NEW or RE-MANUFACTURED). See: https://www.bigbanginjection.com/

For BBIs, being stock, you can go with NEW stage 0.1 for $2,530 or NEW stage 0.5 for $3,605; or RE-MANUFACTURED stage 0.5 for $2,410. You most likely wouldn't want anything bigger than those.

I’m a big fan of BBi, but the 0.5’s aren’t an injector I recommend for any application. They are more prone to hazing than any other injectors I’ve worked with, which is why I recommend 0.1’s or 1.0’s.

Im glad someone explained what a BBI is with the link.

What are original stock injectors that came in the truck? Bosch? My new truck has 200k miles on it

What are BigBangInjectors?
Are they a new manufacture company brand or are the Bosch brand remanufactured cores?

.

Will be my Next project after rear brake rotors(just arrived today), and AC repair.

Ive seen venders selling injector replacement kits($600) that dont even include injectors, valve cover gasket, tubes, etc etc. Is that just a gimmick to sell you stuff you probably dont need?

Generally, on a 2005, is there other stuff that should be replaced when doing a injector replacement job other than maybe a fresh new valve cover gasket, if other parts are in good shape inspected and not damaged? injector tubes etc

BBI is in Austria

How do you or who do you get their injectors from?
I dont see any USA distribution or phone number

Free World Wide Shipping.

You can even call them Martin speaks english.
Before I ordered mine I called him and asked which injectors are the best for my needs.
Email is also 24/7
I do not see a email address on the Contact page

There is this address on their contact page
16805 SE 130th Ave.
Clackamas, Oregon 97015

and this weird phone number: Tel.: 0043(0)660/2630255 (??)

I dont think that phone number will work on my verizon android phone

.

I contacted them on their online messager and he gave me their email address. He recommended 0.1 injectors and new supply tubes.

He said I dont need anything else unless something else is damaged

I'll do somekind of better fuel filter. Is there a better stock fuel filter cartridge ?

Not really, that's a weak point and still is.
You can put a filter inline with the stock one.
Just needs a a filter, a standard filter head and the hose barbs for it.
You can get it all separately on Amazon or just buy a kit that has it all from the Diesel companys.

Thank you for that info...what's the best spin-on filter for the secondary unit?

There isn’t a secondary on the 3rd gens, but if you have an aftermarket 1-14 filter head the best setup is either the FF5814 or DBL5814 if it’s mounted after the OEM filter and a BF1212 if mounted before the OEM filter.

Yes, I have the GDP aftermarket mounted after the OEM. Thank you for the info...is there a best place to get them from?
