I have rarely seen Cummins injector lines requiring replacement. Ecodiesel lines (and injector copper washers) are a different story. The lines on the ED have a chance to leak, but Cummins lines rarely leak when reinstalled. In fact the ED lines are serviced as a set.Just FYI, I was told by a certified Cummins tech a few weeks ago, that you need to inspect the mating ends of the injector lines, and if there's any sign of galling or surface "disruption", you need to replace that line. He said most of the lines he's removed have needed to be replaced, so he replaces them all now instead of getting burned.
ooops, yes you did!..thanks ScottI posted the torque charts on posts #49 & #52 if you're the OE 5.9L lines. Yes, it's different on each end.
Well, got the BBI stage 1's installed, everything went well, appreciate all your guys' input! Throttle response is very noticeable, and I'm not blowing black smoke anymore...stock truck except for turbo. I had dynomite diesel extrude honed injectors in it,...truck ran fine but made black smoke quite easily. Looking forward to an MM3 and some custom tuning!
Totally normal, but I haven't towed anything yet.
