Well I have decided to buy a new one. My 95 has 215k and I ned to up grade. Can anyone tell me where is the best place to buy ? How are the new trannys holding up ? Where is the website to find out what a dealer is paying for the vehicle Thanks Ski.

Depending on where you live, the best deal would be from "Tommeygun" who is out of St. Louis, MO. Do a TDR search on him and you'll spot his 3% below dealer INVOICE. Now that's as good as it gets, pal!

But in my humble, but accurate opinion, you should never pay more than invoice regardless of what some dufus dealer might say. Never buy off the lot. Play the gig by only special ordering your new toy so that you're not having to help pay the dealer's floor plan. This has worked for me consistently. If one guy says no, another one will say yes. Shop the deal and you're the winner.

Have fun!

For true invoice costa go to http://www.edmunds.com/ and build the vehicle of your dreams.

I just recently got my new 2005 from Tomeygun. He lives up to his word and gives the best deal. He is busy but will take good care of you.

I have two '03s with the HO engine and 48re's. They pull 15k loads on a daily basis. The dually is close to 70k miles and the quad is close to 50k miles. Niether one has needed anything other than scheduled maint. I am very happy with the new auto transmission, so happy I bought one for myself and in the process unloaded an '03 Chev Duramax/Allison. I prefer the function of the 48re to the Allison.
