2005 order cut off date?

Has anyone heard the cutoff date for ordering a 2005. I know I want to order one but I would like to wait as long as possible so that I have some time to sell my current truck.

Wheels lists the 05 cut off as April 15 for most orders, although dealers with larger allocation usually have extra time. Current lead time (order to dealer arrival) is currently 8-10 weeks, and 2006 production is scheduled to start July 4 in Saltillo and July 5 in Warren and St Louis.

Why are some CTD's assembled in Saltillo and some in St Louis?

All 3rd gen 3500s were made in Saltillo, 2500s came from both locations. This will change for 06, as Saltillo will handle all Mega Cab production and some 3500 production will be moved to St Louis.

Keep in mind, it is not a certain date, But more a parts/time issue



Once all the slots are filled to get them to the shutdown/model change date ... That will be it, 05 will be done!

Don't wait too long. I should have ordered mine in December... . it'd have the NV 5600 instead of the G-56.



Why do you not want an '06? Are they putting ugly, Dakota headlights on like the megacab has?

That's the front end for <B>ALL</B> 06 Rams, not just the Mega.

Last I checked it was the same engine, and an 05 has more power than an 04. So much for emission depressed.

I am looking at getting a SRW not a DRW and a 3. 73 vs a 4. 10. There is also a couple of other things that i want: sunroof, leather, heated seats the list goes on.
