Dads 05 ctd QCSB 3500 SRW4x4 Edge EZ, afe stage1 full setup, 315 had a injector crack at 27000 miles, filled the crankcase with fuel, innercooler with fuel, and everything else it might be able to. Took out the turbo as well. then it also took the "bridges" on the exhaust springs off and left the rest of the valvetrain loose.

dealer warranty covered in full! running great now

Purchased June 2005: 12K miles as of Jan 06: No major issues except-

Driveline slack/ play:

Question for those of you with 3G trucks and the NV5600: Do you notice exessive driveline slack? Dealer told me that AAM and NV require extra tolerances that just 'add' up in this new configuration. They said it is normal. My '01 with the NV4500 was never this bad. Do you notice this?

Also I have a slight tick (knock?) at all RPM that I have to get in and checked out.

-frank.

I've noticed the slack but its normal . I drove 2 others with 5600's ,same.

As for the truck ,its been great , 20 mpg empty highway at 65mph .

Only problem/defect is the door seal on the drivers side but since it doesnt leak I'm not worried about it .

Love the transmission. :)

Get the door seal fixed. I watched them do mine in about 5 minutes, Pulled the old one off, pushed the new one on done.

If its a quick fix I'll replace the seal.

Dave ,any leaks or wind noise with the new seals?

My 05 was doing good until this week with 21K I noticed that the EGT was higher than normal then tried to see how much boost I had and has dropped down to 10 psi, replaced the air filter but did not help. will see if the local Dealer here in Blackwell can look at it and solve the problem.

Big Laughs!

picked mine up end of June 05, 27K on it, back bumper has dent from hitting a trailer. They will not replace it. I am outraged - they said bumper to bumper warranty!! It is also very dirty after driving in snow. I have been told by many Chevy and Ford owners that their trucks never dent or get dirty. I must have a lemon. Anyway, no problems with the truck.

Gotta love the sense of humor on this site!

Hello I bought the 05 in my signature back in april of 05. I have a little over 9K on it most of it was put on this summer when I was towing with it. So far things are holding up good. No real issues, have not even been back to dealer. No warranty repairs or any repairs. Truck is flawless so far, (knocking on wood).

What is your experience?

Just trying to guage what I have to look forward to.

Thanks.

I purchased my '05 QC 4x4 in oct. 04. It has 32000 mi. on it with no problems other than the park issue. If I stop in rev. before going into park it works fine.

'99 3500 C&C

'05 2500QC

'07 3500HD C&C (on order)

I'm now just over 42,000 mi with no problems, never been back to the dealer. Only problem is after the Quad install it makes too much power for the clutch in 5th or 6th. Looking at changing to a south bend setup with my christmas bonus.

For all of you with bad door seals they put new ones on my 04 and they actually are redesigned so they should not rip again. So for dealers who say they will just rip again I say get them replaced.

I purchased my 2005 in June 05. I currently have 34,000 miles with only two small problems. The paint on the dually fenders is extremely thin and the primer is showing through and the lumbar support is broken. Both of these items will be repaired under warranty. Approximately 18,000 miles of the total was pulling a 15,000 lb fifth wheel. I love this vehicle and would not trade it for any other truck - excepy maybe an 06 3500 Dually with a six-speed! But, then again, I would lose my rear-end on the trade! I'll just keep what I have.

Had mine since april 05 (coming up on 2 years) i have 10502 miles and havent had a problem yet. I think the infinity speaker suck! oh and the cup holder. :D

29,104 highway miles here. Drivers side weatherseal is the only problem this truck has had. Averaging about 21 MPG overall, no mods. Without a doubt this is the best truck I have ever owned. Ed B

I have 55,000 miles on mine and still have original tires. Only problem was a rear u-joint after going thru a dry lake bed with two feet of powder. Average 20 mpg

3000 miles A/C control panel & recharge

28000 miles U-joints, carrier bearing, P/S box & lines.

29000 miles waiting to go in for broken vent door

Other than that no problems... . :D

Pops

18,000 miles without a problem. 18-19 mpg average. Getting door seals replaced next week (TSB 23-005-05).

2005 QC 4X4 6sp SB Isipro gauges, Volant cold air, Air ride air bags, Pullrite Super Glide 5th wheel hitch

I purchased my truck in March '05 and now turned 39,000 with only one problem. When I'm using Tow/Haul mode around town it has given a check engine code when there wasn't anything wrong with the truck. Deal said there is nothing they could do about it and told me to ignor it. So that's what did and I haven't had a check engine light since.
