Hello,

I have a 2005 Ram 2500 with the 48re with 227,000 miles and Trans was rebuilt at 200,000. About a month ago I installed a Transgo Shift Kit, Sonnax billet accumulator and servo, a GM solenoid upgrade and a new front band. Since install the truck will attempt to shift from 1st to 2nd but feels as though it’s slipping and and then goes straight to third and fourth normally. It will also jump in rpm about 200-300 and then shift. Any information will help and I have no idea what could be causing this. I’ve adjusted the front band properly and made sure all the wiring was good. I’m wondering if these combinations of parts could be causing this or if the valve body wasn’t put together properly. The only time I have second gear and a normal 2-3 shift is when I’m in 2nd manual. Also when in D and turning at about 15-25 it feels as though it goes into neutral and will rev before going to 3rd. Any information helps and thank you for your time.

Did you check the front band adjustment, mine had a break in phase with quite some wear after installing a new one.

Was the Transgo Kit installed strictly to the manual? I remember that there are differences for Vehicles with TTV and the older one like mine.

Which Kit exactly did you install?
You did all yourselves?

Front band adjusted to 72 inch pounds and backed off 1 and 3/4 turns, even over tighten it a bit to stretch it a little bit to make sure it was properly torqued. How long was the break in period?
It was a transgo shift kit and all the work was done by me.
