I don't think could possibly be real. He put it on there with no reserve and a starting bid of $5. 50?

Apparently eBay thought so too. It now says "Not a registered member". Either he cancelled or (more likely) eBay canelled him.

that has to be a typo someone should jump all over that If I only had 6 large laying around!

sweet bike and a heck of a steal if it's true!!!!

That's a scam. He has no feedback, and it's a steal. obvious scam.

I've seen people do that using pictures of other peoples vehicles that where previously on ebay the week before.

If it sounds too good to be true... ... ... . it is!

My buddy got scammed buying a "Buy it Now" new ATV Raptor on EBay at a too good to believe price. First, the thief didn't even have a Raptor and to top it off he sold it to 6 other people.

Before buying any big dollar item research the sellers feedback and make contact by phone.

How does the scam work? There was another one on there yesterday-an '03 for buy it now for $4,300.

I can't remember (and they took the auction down), but basically they get ur money and you get nothing, usually requiring a paypal payment upon purchase.

These are scams. If you're into motorcycles, you're used to seeing them. What happens is they offer some redicilous low price, you use some phony escrow service to pay for a percentage of the price say for instance in this case, $2000, and then you pay the rest when the bike arrives... something like that. Well when you pay the $2k, you never hear from them again. They usually steal pics from others' ads and hijack an ebay account. Ebay has done a good job of cracking down, but it was WAY more prevelant a year or so ago. If you use www.craigslist.org, the ads appear there all the time too. That's generally how it works... I think. Like I said, it happens all the time w/ ATV and motorcycle auctions.
