I am looking at a 2006 3500 QC Lb 4x4 5. 9 6sp. I have heard that the only difference between the 2500 and 3500 is the leaf springs. Is this true? I asked the seller what rear end is in it and all he responded was that it had 11. 25 rear and 9. 25 front. Being a newby I am not sure what this means. I want the 3. 73 gears. Can anybody tell me what you are getting for mileage? He does have the edge with attitude but I wanted to know what stock trucks are getting, he is running 315's for tires. I am still waiting for his response on these questions but wanted to ask the pros.

He is asking 25,500 for the truck mentioned above which includes, the Lamamie pkg, 4" Gibson exhaust from cat back, new tires, rear air bags with on board compressor, Edge w/attitude programmer, a few small goodies but thats it for big goodies. 84k.

So what do you all think... ... ... ... is this a good deal?

It should have 3. 73 gears. With the G56 you will find the RPMs a little high at freeway speeds, but the 315s should offset this somewhat.

The 3500 rides similar to the 2500, I think it's a non issue. Be glad of the better load capacity.

I get in the 18-19 mpg range with stock size tires.

Thinking whatever slight gain you get from the chip and exhaust will be negated by the big tires.

Check the clutch for slippage.

As far as the deal, if it fits your wants/needs it's probably OK, not a steal but not that bad either.

I sure like mine, and it's alot like this one.

The 3500 SRW should just have overloads and the 2500 not. This truck has air bags so that won't matter. If you do get the truck try a smarty Jr. You will like it much better than the Edge.

I don't even know why they have the 2500 when the only difference is the missing overlaod spring.

Maybe Chrysler could save some cash if they only offered a 1/2 ton and 1ton truck.
