2006 DRW pulling to the right.

When I purchased my truck in 2007 it had 27,000 miles on it and it tracked dead straight down the road. With the passage of time it began to pull right, and as with a lot of things, you get acclimatized, but eventually you reach the point where you say "this is dangerous". This past spring I had the '08 upgrade installed, and with it came an alignment job. Truck still pulled right. Visited the dealer last week, and the alignment teck took it for a drive, and agreed to the right pull. He checked the numbers and all OK. Then he swapped front wheels and tires. Now, we are dead straight down the road again. Tires were on the truck when I bought it, and now have 65,000

miles on it.



This leads me to believe that perhaps a regular rotation may solve this problem, or at least a front wheel left to right swap every 5-10,000 miles may cure this right pull.



I have heard the term "radial pull" several times. Would this be what I have experienced?

The General tires go bad I have found on all 3 of my DRW Rams. Tires should be rotated every 5,000-7,500 miles. The owner's manual recommends 7,500.

I had the pulling to right syndrome when truck was fairly new. Took it in to dealer and he ended up rotating tires which solved the problem. Later in the tire life of the original tires I rotated the tires myself. Started to pull to right again. Upon close observation I found that the right front tire tread surface was rounded and the left was flat. The original tires were pretty used up at that time so I endured the pull till I got new Michelins. bg
