The instructions recieved from Quadzilla state "on the passenger side of the vehicle locate the exhaust manifold. On the top side of the manifold between cylinders #2 and #3 is the ideal location for the thermocouple. "
Given that I can't get my drill with a 90 deg chuck in position to follow the top instructions and there is an aluminum shroud covering the manifold between Cylinders 1-3 it appears only clear access there is right after Cylinder 3. I am planning to somewhat follow the Quadzilla instructions (Drill close to #3 just past the shroud, although I have read that the EGT's will be higher in Cylinders 1-3. I don't know if this should concern me as I think the relative temp is more important than the actual temp.
Am I wrong on this? Are there other things I should consider before I drill? I am probably wigging as I am concerned about drilling into the manifold in spite of all the reassurance given in the many posts that if you take your time and do it right/cautiously, you'll have no problems.
As always, thanks TDR'rs!
