2006 electrical problems

Friend of mine just had his warranty cancelled because he put a headache rack on his truck with lights in it. The dealer (Pete Scoggins in George West TX) has replaced the computer in the truck twice and was told not to replaced it a third time and to cancell the warranty.



Mark (my friend) has already got an attorney and was wondering if anybody else is having electrical problems. the attorney would like to find as many people as he can to file a Class Action Lawsuit.



If anyone has - let me know.

Was he taping into the headlight system to run the lights on the headache rack?

was he using load relays for these lights?



what was happining that was making them replace the computer? (or was it the PDC they were replacing)?

The Magnuson Moss act is a federal law that prevents dealerships from doing this.

'05 with "towing" lightbar on the truck and not a whisper of voided warrantee thus far from my dealer. IF he tied in the lights per http://www.dodge.com/bodybuilder/ Then I would say they ain't got a leg to stand on. I "tapped" where the told me I could and I ain't had any probloms.

Mark disconected the lights on the headache rack as per the dealer request on the second computer, still the same thing. The mechanic said there was a short somewhere in the truck but didnt know where.
