I'm sure that's the way it looks to you from the inside of your rectal cavity. When you pull your head out, maybe you'll see clearer. :-laf

Until then goodbye. Have your rant. :-{}

It does sound like an injector failed. I have replaced two '03 engines for this problem. The solenoid on the top of the injector cracks where it is bonded to the injector and fills the crankcase with fuel in a hurry. You will notice it on your tailgate going down the road from it blowing fuel out of the crankcase breather. Good luck with your repair.

It is easy to tell when someone is on the losing end of a discussion by how that person continues to sprinkle their posts with insults.

Face it the reason laws had to be enacted about manufactures covering warranties was due to manufactures using the excuse of only seeing an aftermarket part on a car and voiding warranties, the law is clear in it makes the manufacture have to provide proof that the aftermarket product is indeed the reason for the problem and when it is then they are not expected to warranty none factory items.

One area where DC would have the right to void your factory engine warranty is the use of none approved oil filters due to the fact they have a list of filters that are approved. Any thing that put in writing from the get go is grounds to void the warranty, and as far as I know the only thing they have in writing is oil filters. Even the oil filter issue would be hard for DC to defend because it is not written in your owners manual, only in a TSB which most owners will never see as those are released for dealers and not the general public.

This is kind of like the oil thread that was started where real prices were posted that showed some pretty low price points far under the 70+ dollar a barrel being paid on the spot market. You have tried to push the 70+ dollar figure as what every last drop of oil sells for, which is false.

$1,000+ for 1 injector installed??? I had the dealer install 6 modded injectors for $1,300!!! You waited over a MONTH to be told it was a bad injector and they had to take the head of to do it? Should be worth some free work IMO.

The owner is from out of state and not with the truck, that is why I suspect this dealer is taking advantage of him.

i'am seeing injector failures on un modded 3rd gen rams,is it possible the aftermarket fueling boxes can make an injector fail,maybe,but maybe not. with the amount of injector failures on these engines i would say a good dealer would replace an injector under warranty,but who knows what orders they get from the corperate office.

On every forum I've read,G. M. ,Ford,D. C. the GAUGES that are added bring out questions and if any engine or transmission damage lots of looking for fueling boxes or programmers.

I'm closing this thread as the point has been met where no more productive conversation can occur.

If anyone wishes to debate my decision, please feel free to PM myself or TDRAdmin.
