Alright guys I have a 06 Dually with auto and 4:10 rears and I use it to tow usually 10-14000lbs. I just put the AFE intake system and MBRP 4in exhaust and the Edge with Attitude computer. What would you do next. I want to build it up pretty nice but still a daily driver and reliable. So what do you think maybe injectors and then a transmission what are your inputs?

I would do the transmission next. It is the next weakest link. Also, the tighter convertor will get more power to the ground.

Using my '97 as an example, I gained 10# boost, by just getting a good transmission and T/C. NO other mods added at the same time.

The T/C is tighter (I can roll uphill with a loaded trailer. :D ) Goerend will make the T/C with any stall speed you want. Machine it right in-house.

Has a modded valvebody. Higher line pressure (which helps keep clutch packs from slipping). Shifts firmer than stock, but won't snap your neck. At least the 47RE I have, the PCM "learns" how you drive. Harder you drive, the firmer the shifts. Drive with a ligh foot, and it softens up the shift, same as a stock trans will. Also, if you pull a trailer, it will firm up the shifts as well.

Can tell that it is shifting, unlike a mushy shift in a stock trans. My stocker was so mushy, it almost felt like I had a hydrostatic transmission in the first 3 gears.

Never driven a truck with a 48RE, so I don't know what they shift like stock.

Dave also has laminated flexplates and billet shafts, if needed. I don't have them, though. Just brand new OEM shafts in mine. He WON'T reuse old shafts. New only.

I vote transmission as well. And go billet if you have the coin $$$$$
