2006 Hard Starting Issue

Does anybody know? I have 2006 CUMMINS some times it starts fine and other times it cranks for a few seconds then doesn't start. Other times it starts and then immediately quits. Everything else is fine, no problems running any other time. It dosen't matter if it is warm or cold. The engine only has 30,000. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

CLLong, Have you check for codes? without starting turn ignition switch on & off three times. If you have any codes it will show them on your odmeter!

P0513 = Incorrect Immobilizer Key

Maybe the chip in your key or the chip reader in the ignition switch is failing. Try using the other key.

Maybe the remote key needs a new battery?

Previously on the TDR I've seen some threads where the computer can forget one or two keys. Try other key.

Tried the other key. So far so good, tried it about 10 or 12 times and it has started every time.
