Has anyone seen a mounting cup to put a single 2" dual gauge in the small cubby above the cig lighter on the 06's?

I am curious if the Geno's in-dash kit for a 94-97 model might work-

Someone on cumminsforum.com put one in the cubby on their 06, but they found out with the quto, the gear selector lever sits right in front of the cubby/gauge while in D.

Gauge looked great there, to bad its blocked. HTH.

Let me know how or what ya find... . I would like to do something like that on my 06 6 speed... ... Thats the only thing i miss about my 05 is that i had them below the heater controls and looked good... .

Its time for me to order some filters from Geno's so maybe I will have them include an early dash mount for a trial fit.

I thought I would post back if anyone is interested in the future.

The above gauge plate from Genos worked nicely for this.

I used an SPA dual gauge and had to make the hole in the plate a little bigger for the gauge. Having an interference fit on the gauge is nice so it can be pulled out without dash removal yet fits tight.

That little pocket unscrews from the back, after a little plastic grinding on the pocket I found the gauge plate could be sandwiched between the pocket and plate. I can see how this would not work well with an auto trans as mentioned the shift lever would obstruct view but works nicely on the sticks.

Pulling the center dash bezel is not the single screw & snap off job like the 03-05's With a quick search I found some posts & pics here on TDR that helped get me started, thanks goes out to those who took time to post that.

Its not my truck and I didn't have my camera that day but when I see it again I will take a pic of what it looks like.
