If your handy, it's possible to make a box with relays and fuses thats powered by the batt charge circuit to protect the TIPM. If I ever get a newer truck, I'll sure build one!

Is there any information or a DIY post that shows how to build what you are talking about? People would surely benefit from having that information. I know I would.

IT seems like someone posted something about building one a while back but I don't remember who. Basically, you need a relay for each circuit (Each turn sig, Running lights, and B/U lights - 4 total). Use the connections for each one of these lights to trigger the relays and use the batt charge wire as the power source that will actually power each circuit to the trailer. Then put a fuse in-line with each circuits output.

Thanks. I will search to see if there is something about this, it's a good idea, TPIM is VERY expensive to say the least when you blow one.
