2006 Mega Cab Trans specs

I see on the 2006 Mega Cab Trans specs under Tranmission it states NV5600 for the manual I am assuming this is incorrect

That is wrong, it's the new DC model G56. There are a few threads with good info and pictures on this new 6 speed. 2007 will see an all new 6 speed auto. Hope this helps.

From my article covering the press introduction:

Transmissions likewise will be a carry over from the '05 model with either the 48RE automatic or the new G56 six speed manual. The press kit lists the NV5600 so you may read that in places but I was assured that was a mistake and it will have the new six speed which they are in the process of changing over to right now.
