Competition 2006 Ozone Depletion Tour - Atlanta

Diesel Performance Motorsports will for the 5th year host diesel dragracing during the 22nd Annual Hayes Mopar vs the World event Friday night September 8th and Saturday September 9th.



If you like drag racing, this is an event you don't want to miss.



Diesel racing will consist of DHRA Pro Street, DHRA quick diesel, and DPM Shootout bracket racing.



DPM bracket class will pay $500 to win, $150 runner-up, and $50 for the two 3rd place vehicles.



DPM will add $200 to the quickest ET for a manual transmission truck during DPM Shootout eliminations.



Competition Diesel.com will add $100 for the quickest of each brand during the DPM Shootout bracket eliminations.



$1000 (and counting) will be paid out to the tube chassis vehicles. Keating will be here. Greg Hogue will be here, and hopefully Schied and Scott Bentz will too.



If diesels aren't enough, how about watching 8 Nostalgia Nitro Funny Cars from Hartman Enterprise. Or how about NHRA Pro Stock racing with Richie Stevens, Allen Johnson, and Shawn Carlson.



The kids will love watching the Raminator and Rammunition Monster Trucks from Hall Brothers Racing.



And many more classes of racing action from SRT Shootouts, to Super Pro, Pro (footbrake) and more.

If anybody is on the fence about wether to go to this event, I would reccomend it highly. Not only is there great Diesel Action, but there are several gasser classes, Pro-stock exibition runs, monster truck rides, NHRA drivers and TONS of other stuff to do. This is one of my favorite events to attend because of the wide array of vehicles, and of course, the kick-arse Diesel Racing.

Hey Brad, I'll see you in Rockingham. That hopefully will help you get the bugs worked out.



Yes, Atlanta will be DHRA rules for Pro Street and Quick Diesel. But if everyone comes that are planning on coming, Pro Street will be a nice class.

We are fast approaching what promises to be one of the best days of the year for diesel dragracing.



Hayes Family of Dealerships has provided the event that will be a drag racers dream. Ton's of racing action including I've been told now 12 Nostolgia Nitro funny Cars.





TS Performance, Sun Coast Converters, Mass Diesel, Stuckey Racing, DP Tuner, and Silverline Exhaust have made it possible to have a 1st ever purse for Top Diesel competition. Who wants to see if Scheid can achieve that 200 mph mark?



Competition Diesel.com will be adding $100 for the quickest of each brand (Chevy/Ford/Dodge) truck during competition.



South Bend Clutch is providing a $250 gift certificate and Diesel Performance Motorsports is providing $200 cash to the quickest manual transmission truck to run during competition rounds.



Of course payouts as previously listed too.



The DHRA will bring the Diesel Power! Drag Racing series to Atlanta too. Pro Street had their first 9 second pass in Rockingham. How many will be there by the time the dust settles?



Quick Diesel has a close points chase going with some really strong contenders. You just gotta see this class run. Side-by-side action all the way down the track.



And you bracket racers need to come out in force. Nice purse for you guys and I want to see you compete. Test and tune is nice, but it doesn't pay anything. Come test your skills for some payback.



This is shaping up to be a great race and with it being the 5th year for the DPM shootout, I am excited as can be. Look forward to seeing all of you.

Friday is open test and tune. In past years, as everyone has come into town, everyone has met at the track. Some run down the track, and some just hang out.



But I can tell ya, Keating said he's planning on making a pass or two so that should pretty much light up the evening. Track should be open until 10:00 or so.



But Saturday is the day of competition. If you have one day though, Saturday is it.



Remember, even though each year it's getting more and more like a diesel event, this one has a little of everything at it.
