Quote from the Diesel Stop, "Maybe ford should put something on the MSRP sticker that says " Bell Housing oil leak included at no charge!" "

Surfing the other site and reading about the oil leak woes. I read a while back that a guy was on his fourth PSD. 3 buybacks for the same thing--oil leaks! And he still goes back for another. They were also talking about "reconditioned" 03-04 PSD's. I guess Ford is trying to recoup some of the losses from this huge fiasco.

It's funny the difference between our and the other site. Here we are talking about making ours bigger and stronger and faster, and they are constantly talking about the problems they are having. I'm glad I'm driving a Cummins! Oo.

I remember one of the oil leaks was commonly associated with high flow air filters. The 6. 0 depends on vaccuum from the stock unit to clear out the crankcase vapors. The lack of vaccuum from an aftermarket unit allows the vapor to settle into a liquid. The liquid then drips out a large hole at the rear of the block.

Hope I explained this correctly.

I had problems with a 04 leaking(6. 0) But my 05's-06's have been very good. The torque shift transmission hands down is better than the allison and the 48.
