2006 Ram

[CUMMINZ]

Looked at new 2006 yesterday. There is a difference in the 2004. 5 and 2006 engine. My truck has a plastic shroud and some gizmo under it mounted just ahead of the air intake on the right side of the motor. The 2006 did not have this.

I'll have to check mine, but i don't think my 05 has that either. is that a cover for the cp3?

My '03 built February 2003 did not have it either. 6-speed HO. It's the APPS, sometimes they're mounted under the battery.

As others have said, that is the APPS sensor (accelerator pedal position sensor) and it can be there or under the battery



BUT there is a difference in the 06 cummins... The valve cover is different and the injector harness's are different too. Just another thing perf. chip companies will have to deal with...

Foot pedal sensor..... If that is what it is mine don't need one since my foot is always on the floor.
