Been doing a bunch of preventative mtc items and put in a new thermostat. I know they offer a 180 and a 190 thermostat at genos but what is the stock thermostat? The new one (duralast from autozone) and the temp goes over 200 before it cools off to under 200. It never used to oi over 200. Thinking of swapping it out again. Not sure a few degrees matters but it's bothering me. :)

The factory thermostat is 190°F, I believe. Here's the relevant text:

2003 Service Manual said:
The thermostat will begin to open at 85. 5 — 89. 4°C. (186 —193°F ). If the valve starts to move before this temperature is reached, it is opening too early. Replace thermostat. The thermostat should be fully open (valve will stop moving) at 97°C (207°F). If the valve is till moving when the water temperature reaches 97°C (207°F), it is opening too late. Replace thermostat. If the valve refuses to move at any time, replace thermostat.

Notice the thermostat isn't completely open until 207°F.

As an aside, while I was looking up the coolant specifications I noticed the reason I plug in the block heater below 40°F - the service manual says to do so!
