2006 truck bed on 2003 truck?

Hello all,
I have a 2003 Dodge Ram and the truck bed (8') is a little beat up.
Have a chance to put a 8' truck bed on it from a 2006 Ram.
Each are Cummins diesels.
Will it fit?

I’ve never done it, but I’ll be (short) bed shopping soon too. Any research I’ve done group all the 3 gens together. I don’t think you’ll have a problem.

I think you're right. I'll check it out tomorrow. If everything looks the same I'll purchase it. Getting those bed bolts busted loose looks like the hardest part of this job!

it will fit. I put an 08 bed on my 03. The tie downs in the corner are different on the later models. They are a D ring while the earlier models were an S style. David

It will fit just fine. That's what I put on my '04. The '06 has a ram's head badge under the tailgate handle, but take that off and it will look just like your '03 bed.
