2006 wheels on a 1st gen ?

Hey gang, I just bought a set of 17x8 aluminum/chrome wheels off a new 2006, complete with caps and nuts for a price that was too good to pass up. Will these go on my 93 ? I realize the center cap will require a mod on the front, or run no caps, but how about rear spacing and clearance ? These are cool and the price was soooooo right !



If these'll work I guess I better start lookin for 17" tires at a good deal.

I have a set of the steel wheels from a 2006. The backspace is about 1. 5" too deep to work on a 2wd. Using them with a 2" spacer would work nicely.

I use a set of steal rims from an '04 with no problems. Don't know about the caps. never looked.

I'm a flea market / swap meet hound anyways, so even if they don't work, I'll add 'em to my inventory of good stuff to sell next spring. When I say it was a good deal, it was a GOOD deal. A customer of mine is a Dodge dealer, they're his take-offs from a new demo, he runs Am. Racing wheels on his demo truck and someone bought it with the add-ons, so a favor returned to me was the wheels. I asked him if they would work and he had no idea, says he can't remember back that far. . lol... . can't fathom that I drive a 93, wonders why I don't buy a new one... . $$$$$$$$... . says he'll give me a smokin' deal... . bla. . bla... still costs more to upgrade to a diesel on a 2006 than my truck cost me in total... ...
