It's a very exciting day when you open the magazine and see an ad that reads:

"On March 1, We take on the truck world. Our impressive lineup is ready to welcome an all-new, more powerful, more versatile Dodge truck. It's exactly the kind of truck you need ... Ram-tough and easily adaptable to a variety of commercial applications. And it will answer the bell on March 1. For more information, visit www.fleet.chrysler.com or call 800-999-FLEET and reference keyword: New Dodge. Dodge Trucks. They're all business. "

After a little more internet research I found the following article:

Also, here's another TDR post:

This is all very exciting.

It'll be neat to see and I'll drive one when they come out, but I'm betting it's gonna be another $10 grand before all the options.

If I ever get a bigger trailer, though...

Maybe its my computer (all my computers) but I have not been able to get the above website to open the picture of "see the new dodge".

I'll bet it's the exact same body style, but with 19. 5" wheels and the 6. 7L Cummins. I'll start working on the wife now trying to convince her that we need a toy hauler that is so big that a regular 3500 dually won't pull it.

Done. We got the KZ 37KGx2 with the bedroom slide, 3 slides total. She weighs in at 16,900 lbs GVWR. The 3500 pulls it no problem (I won't tell the wife) but it would be nice to have the extra Umph in the mountains and the added payload. :-laf

Besides when you pull into the campground, fuel pumps or local gin mill it's always fun to have the BIGGEST rig there!

With an NV5600??? I just read something that said that New Venture no longer exist and it is now a division of GM AND that the last NV5600 was made in January, I think?

I'm pretty sure that's not true. I know a guy who works at the NVG plant in Syracuse, NY. I think Magna owns most of them, now.

With regard to the 4500/5500 chassis, I had hoped for a C8. 3 option. Oh well, it's not like I planned to buy one anyway. :(

On edit: NVG's website is no longer. There's just a press release that Magna owns them now. Magna's website makes no mention of any NVG product. I'm scared. :( :(

Hold down the control key and click... . opens a new window and you can signug for an email notification with info on Mar 1st...

FYI, control key enables popups (that are normally blocked by antispyware software)... . for a single click...

I Spoke With A Chrysler Rep Yesterday. He Said That The 6. 7 Would Be Emissions Legal Thru 2012. Also Would Come With 305hp And 610ft Lbs. Will Be Available With A 55 Gallon Fuel Tank, And Another Option Will Be An Additional 20 Gallon Tank. All Will Come Strait Framed To The Dealer. Once Ordered, The Bed Of Choice Will Be Installed. He Also Said Something About Being Rated For 23,000lbs Of Towing Capacity

everything I have read about it says that the cab will be no different than any 3rd gen, but the fenders, hood, grill, bumpers, frame, and drivetrain will be different. The cab will sit up higher than a typical 3500 for more room under the cab, like the Ford 5500. Be cool if it had saddle fuel tanks, but most likely not. Heard the the front end will be slightly longer, and taller. My guess for bigger engine options. All ridding on the typical medium duty axles, wheels and tires.

That is what I have read, and I hope thats acurate. I sure hope its a little bigger than the currenty 3500 on the front end of the truck, and I hope they made it look a little more "semi" feelin.

Also Would Come With 305hp And 610ft Lbs.

I hope this isn't right. This is the same torque they have now, but 20 hp less. I hope there's some reason for this like cruising at much lower rpm's for better mileage because of the different torque curve.

I was expecting maybe lower horsepower, but more torque.

Makes you wonder how ford and chevy will blow their horns about how they have so much more horsepower than the Dodge in the medium duty market because they use the same light duty engines as in the 2500/3500 lines.

We won't have bragging rights, but we'll have a true medium duty engine that'll last forever!

Now I can get my stupid ex boss to go to Dodge for new tow trucks and get rid of the dang inj eating Diapermaxes, since they'll be on a FL frame which is friendly for the tow body mfg's
