2007, 5.9 tow plug question

My truck is a 2007, 5. 9 Big Horn edition with the factory tow package. It has the large 7 way plug AND the flat 4 way plug.

I want to make up the relay set-up to isolate the trailer plug from the TIPM.
Is the BACK-UP light circuit on the FACTORY 7 way trailer plug run through the TIPM?

Not sure about the Back-up light circuitry. Why do you want/need to isolate the TIPM from the trailer plug?

Yes, the B/U is also run through the TIPM, at least it is on my buddy's 06.

The realy box is a great idea and I would sure build one if I had a TIPM.

With the TIPM handling the load of the trailer lights, a short will trip or damage the TIPM. By isolating the TIPM from handling the trailer lighting load, I will have circuit breakers that only will trip and the TIPM ONLY closes relays.
