You are not going to believe this. We purchased our new 2007.5 3500 DRW Laramie with leather seats brand new. The leather seats have held up well. The truck is at my friends upholstery business have all never leather installed. He received several bolts of factory leather after doing some research and ordered it. Guess what he found? After removing all the seats and the leather we find out the seats are NOT all leather. Most of each seat is vinyl. Look for the "V" & "L" on the photo. What did you pay for and what did you get? PHOTO SHOWS COVER RIPPED APART BY UPHOLSTER NOT FROM WEAR.

Just saying!!

Yep, only leather where the heat is on 2006 and up. 2010's and up are that way as well unless you get the Longhorns/Limited's or upgrade the seats on order, even with the Laramie's then you get true full leather.

So what are you saying? They advertise leather seats in 07 and you don't get total leather.

Don't remember. It has been 10 years. Stopped by the upholstery shop this morning to clean the carpets before he re-installs the seats. We set the finished front seats and console back in place. These are 100% leather. They look great.

Honestly I have no issue with the high wear sections being vinyl if it hold up better then leather, doesn't seem to be much of a difference if no one can tell for that long.

I had my cloth seats (front only) replaced with leather and new seat cushions in OCT of 2017. My cost was $750. plus $100. lumber support for the passenger seat to be added. I had an electric motor with switch installed to control the movement of the lumbar support. The passenger seat was also raised 1-1/2 inches. My wife has said that her seat is very comfortable now for her when she rides in the truck.

Jim looked very good. You still a member of the "Piece of crap" Forest River Club Forum?

Thanks; Yes, I am still over there on the Forest River Forum.

They haven't kicked me off yet! Right now there is a big debate on which diesel motor (engine) is dependable. I didn't want to upset the Furd guys to much and tell them that they do not have a motor but it is an engine. They won't understand the difference.

That is a good looking set of seats. I need some replacements in family car, what part of the country is this upholsterer in?

Yes I understand. I was told in No uncertain terms Not to criticize FR. Was told to speak my piece ONE time and then be quite. One other thing that bothers me: I asked them to terminate my logon. Next thing I saw I was banned. Two different things. Later.

I had my seats reupholstered in Sandwich IL a small town about 60 to 65 miles west of Chicago on RT 34.

I would look around your area and ask at car shops or high performance stores. These guys are into their vehicles and know by word of mouth who is good and who is not. The guy who did my truck dose not advertise in any type of media, he relies on just word of mouth. He is so busy that there is waiting period to get in to his shop.

A couple things.....If you are looking for a great deal on leater seat covers....look no further than

http://www.clazzio.com/

I've done my 2500, a Toyota Venza and a Mercedes 280.....All have been installed at least 4 years and zero issues. Easy to install and amazing low price. Not sure how they can do it for this amount of $$...(CHINA)

I'm also banned from the FR Forum. Seems I sell a rifle bore guide as a part time income stream on my web page so when I sent folks there to read various articles about my FR 19RR, they see this ad and I was considered a commercial web site. They banned me for life! No big deal, I opened another log in under another email address.

Can you pm me or post the shop that did your seats, I am in Durham might be interested in getting my seats done at some point.

I had a picky boss once who insisted internal combustion was engine and electric was motor. She got much less picky when I said engine house for motorhome.

Those look like good quality replacements. Unfortunately it says won't fit Laramie trim! I emailed them to see what the deal was. Thanks for the link.
