They have had a lot of leak problems with cab lights with the holes side by side, the newest factory lights have holes front and rear. After market and early factory have side by side and may leak. If you think about it, if the front and rear of the light are tight, probably won't leak because they follow the roof curve and help shape the curve - - side by side screws may leak at front and rear if they don't follow the roof curve exactly. If you use the side by side holes I would suggest using some kind of sealer. And yes, the factory lights just plug into the factory wiring on the passenger side "A" pillar.
