I purchased a factory service manual for my 07 2500 from TechAuthority in 2007 - the part number is 81-370-07059CD and they continue to sell it today for $206. 00.

The CD worked fine when using Windows XP and version 6 of Internet Explorer, but since then the updates to Windows and Internet Explorer appear to have rendered the electrical schematic portion of the CD unusable. I've tested it on old systems that haven't been updated and it will work. I can't go backwards.

I'm posting here because I have not been able to get this resolved with TechAuthority by phone or email - just endless runaround. I was told the CD won't work on a MAC and appears to not function with newer versions of Internet Explorer when trying to access the schematics. They state that it does not work with Internet Explorer 7. My experience is that it does not work with anything newer than version 6 with respect to electrical schematics. I've read similar from other owners who haven't been able to access schematics.

Email responses amount to comments that they are working on a fix, but so far I cannot access the schematics, just the mechanical topics. This is the case for two different computers - one with Windows 7 (32bit) and one on an older XP system where I can't go back to an old version of Explorer.

Unless I'm missing something, this is a very expensive manual if you can't access the schematics with a current computer.

If anyone has had success accessing the schematics on the CD with a newer computer or knows of a solution, I'd like to hear about it. Thanks in advance.

Please send me an e-mail, I have a suggestion that might get you by. If it works then we will share it.

I think Techauthority is simply selling expensive coasters - no one there has been able to provide a solution, just endless promises to respond and to date I have not been able to find a solution in accessing the electrical schematics on the CD. I work behind the scenes for a very large OEM and if I provided this kind of customer service I would have been fired long ago. I'm open to solutions, but so far it seems pretty clear you have to use Windows Xp and Internet Explorer 6 or it will not work. Really a disappointment.
