I would not worry about DHRA. By the way they treated every one at the banquet. I was told that Haisley's would not be pulling with them in 07. Van or Curt! I was told that Terry Coppess or Scott Amos and a few others won't be back. Between ITPA and PPL and OSTPA, DHRA is not the only show in town. They keep $#^% up the rules and the pulls are under staffed. They are getting better but they act like they do not care about the pullers. They get the street class back where it needs to be. Then they $*^& up the super street class. They did not have enough trucks in that class, now they lost the top two trucks.
 
Gosh CSmoke... . It's funny I told your good buddy Gene and his cronies the same thing at Scheid's after that BS meeting. Hmmmm... . Oh well, no one around here needs them or their BS anyway.
 
At the banquet they only recoginzed the winners of each class 2-5 DID NOT GET RECOGINZED AT THE BANQUET!! All they got was food and their checks. Haisleys were totally ----- off about that. Van him self told me they would not run with DHRA! For what happened at the baquet and what they did to the rules in the super street class.

I am building a truck for the super street class,and I know of a couple others being built,I believe the top guys in the class wanted the new rules.
 
The drive line is needed(and wanted by most) as even " I " have started to break ring and pinions (lower hp than others) The pump rule has always been "open" until this year they tryed to close it up, Witch would exclude some trucks so a few people gave there input and it was suposed to stay open but they have not written it that way not sure why. The turbo limit on the twins is BIG not sure where they came up with that either... ... ..... ?

My apologies for the banquet, totally my fault for not explaining to Nick, (the announcer) that we were going to announce everybody that placed. My ear still hurts from where it got chewed, afterwards.







Dave Dunbar and I have disccussed already the changes for next years banquet, and we will be giving out awards for more than just placing in the points, and possibly adding more seminars.



As far as the rules go, changes were made, and not everyone will be happy with every rule change. Thats something we will just have to accept, as a motosport sanctioning body. ALL the pullers have a say, not just the top 5. We take that input, and form rules we think will be fair to the entire class.



As an ex puller, I don't expect anyone to run for points each year, its way to expensive, but I still hope all our points runners come back for 07, and many more.



However, if we lose a few for whatever reason, that just leaves an opening for others to move up.

You can complain all you want about the rules, and complain about me, but I take offense to that statement.



Why have we been understaffed?



Because instead of paying our help a REASONABLE amount, we have put every dime possible into PULLERS PURSES.

07, we are hoping to change that, and add more staff, while still raising purses if at all possible.



Everytime you walk past a DHRA staff member, you should thank him/her for working for next to nothing,( a lot were volunteers) the last couple years, so we could put more money in the pullers pockets.
 
DHRA is going to get it toghter. When! Who knows I hope by the time they do. They have not made everyone mad. They do what they can with what they got. They are the ones that started this diesel truck pulling & drag racing. I hope they are here when it gets main stream.
 
am i readng right that super street still has to use a 1 ton or smaller oem axle? it says driveline rules are obsolete? servers is breaking ring gears, hows that gonna help
