A 2007 6. 7L/6-spd manual SLT 3500 SRW 4 X 4 Quad Cab short bed brand new out the door for $33K. Not a Cowboy Cadillac--but it does have a few good options on it such as power driver seat, anti-spin, 4 X 4, and skid plates.

To me this seems like a smoking deal and, despite my apprehensions about the 6. 7L, I might jump on it.

Wife isn't crazy about me getting the older truck I talked about in other posts--she wants me to get a new one.

Is $33K a good deal for this truck, or should I just go ahead and get the '02? (see pix and description of it on my "Check this Out" post--under the "First Time Owners" forum)

Decisions Decisions

As always, thanks--TDR rocks!

Whats the list price on it? if its anything over 8000 off list i think its a good deal. sounds like it is a good deal as the base price of my 3500 6. 7 4x4 was 40,350 and as its optioned is 46,000 and i got mine for 37,500. I should have waited a little longer and got a better deal.

How many 07s does the dealer have on the lot? If he has a dozen, keep working the price. As the 08s arrive, he will soften.
I just noticed your post location, is this through AAFES? Might be harder to haggle, unless they actually have it there in der deutschland, vice ready for a stateside delivery.

Aafes

Thanks guys for the responses :)

This is an AAFES Car Sales deal. There are none others to choose from--this appears to be someone who ordered a truck and the deal fell through. I just got the quote last night in an e-mail, so I don't know where the truck is. Since it's an '07 it's gotta already be built.

List on the truck is $45,168 and my cost is $33,107 after rebates and military discount.

Sounds like a good deal to me, I paid 48K, tx & lic included, not the bed though, I ordered it with phone, nav & sat. Last time I was in Germany was 84, I believe there is no sales tax. What is the exchange rate now (off subject)? I would jump on that deal before she changes her mind :-laf

I said yes

I'm getting it for $31. 5K--in the process of buying the truck now! I can't wait to get back to the USA and enjoy this thing!

Never driven a 6. 7L/G56. From what everyone says about the G56, it shifts and drives out nice. I was impressed with my friend's 2004 5. 9 manual I drove some time ago. I'd like to hear any tips or impressions anyone has on driving this configuration.

Know I'm taking a chance with the 6. 7 but I have faith in Dodge and Cummins and this is just too good to pass up. Dodge trucks have never let me down yet--and this will be Dodge truck #4 I've owned.
