2008 Dodge Charger

I can't talk the wife into a CTD for herself so we're looking at the new Chargers. Got her heart set on an '08 Charger SRT8. Does anyone have one or heard any reviews on them?

SRT8s the only way to go! Id get one, a black one. Then they have the SRT8 Superbee; one was in the showroom when I got my truck. Pretty cool. Bright yellow.

My buddy has a 06 srt8 black man what a ride just hope the wife doesnt have a heavy foot or she will be in trouble fast . I think they are good for close to 14's in the 1/4 stock or better . they handle like they are on rails thats even better

Son has a 06 SRT8, loves it. They are really fast but his 06 CTD gets better gas mileage then the SRT8. Lives in CA & had to pay a fuel mileage penalty of I am thinking around $1700. 00

I have one as a company car, though it's 3. 5 engine, powerwise, it's adequate. I love the ride of the car, it is an excellent highway cruiser. 20k miles on it since Thanksgiving, been averaging around 23mpg so far. Wish they'd let me pay extra for any of the Hemi models.

A coworker has a 06 RT with the MDS. Cruising on the highway, he gets 23mpg. It has lots of power, I drove it once. Obviously the SRT-8 has more power but he chose not to get that as his other car is a 67 satellite with a 440 that was upped to 500. If you wait a bit, you could talk your wife into a Challenger...

I am almost postitve the SRT's do not have MDS. This is a very awesome car! I'd love to get a regular R/T for the wife. I know of a 300 SRT8 and it's very nice. I have seen SRT8 jeeps, chargers, and 300's at the track cracking into the low 13's and quiet.

I attended the NY Giants TickerTape parade and the NYPD was definetly showing off their Chargers (they only have a few) as they were escorting the MVP's on their way in. Not a CrownVic in sight!

Don't discount the other models, An RT with the RT package has the same suspension as the Daytona's, interior is more sporty and seats are real nice. The 5. 7 has MDS and comes with a lifetime powertrain warranty not offered on the SRT's. They are classified as a family sedan so insurance is cheap.

RT packaged Chargers are just like Daytona's minus the paint and numbered dash plaque. The 08 Daytona is Hemi Orange which is pretty cool if you like orange. If not then an "RT package" on a Charger gives you color choices. Daytona's and "RT packaged" cars have stiffer suspension and quicker steering too along with another 10hp vs a standard RT.



STR's are waaay nice but no lifetime warranty, ton more money, less mpg's, more insurance but you do get 75hp more Oo.



FYI a Charger RT is not the same car as a Charger RT "with" the RT package.
