2008 Scranton Pennsylvania Saint Patrick's Day Parade



On Saturday March 15th, 2008 at 11:45am in the city of Scranton, PA will be our anual parade. I have a friend that is on the parade commitee that told me he could help me out to get in with a group and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a TDR group in the parade this year.



The obvious rules apply, NO BURNOUTS, (I was told about this happening in last years parade by my friend who is on the parade comitee, so if you cant keep your tires from smokin stay home) and the trucks MUST be nice enough to be in a parade. Which means no trucks with half a door or box smashed in, no plows, etc. Im just seeing who may be interested in doing it this year, so let me know.

We usually meet at a local Gas station and then all go over to the parade beginning together. Like I said in the original post we arent committed to this yet but im trying to get a head count

I'm from ct. and it's a long story as to why I would be in scraton

I make trip to pa. once a year. actually I go to exter, avoca area.

so i usually go through scraton area on the highway. so on my way

i could stop by and say hello

I have been to CT. a few times already for truck stuff. I usually hook up with the New England guys from the Derby CT. area

That would be geared to the person or persons that were doing the burnouts. I am the one that was told about it, took the heat for it and the parade committee wasnt really happy. I think I was pretty specific in the post last year about it when I asked for "No Burnouts". Besides the fact that we are representing TDR which was nice enough send us a lot of nice things to give-a-way to all of the participants I didnt see exactly whom it was because it was behind me, way behind me so that was why I didnt point any fingers. If you are telling me that it was him then yes. I love burnouts like everyone else but their is a time and place for everything and that wasnt it

Yours was the only response I received and the deadline was last week to enter so it looks like TDR wont have a showing this year.

With having off the weekend before to take my Daughter to a state Bowling tournament I was unable to get the Saturday off for the parade. Seems like our companies higher ups do not take to kindly to having two weekends off in a row anymore... ... Andy
