I think I read someplace there was going to be storage there in the 2009's. My question is, will this new style apply to the 2500/3500's and when will be the earliest we could order one???

Mmmm I'm liking it, nice lines, windshield looks a little less raked, lower profile cabin, and I like the grille. The roofline looks more flat as well, which will match up to cab-high canopies better than the 3rd Gens do. It's almost as if Dodge was reading my mind and fixed some of the styling peeves I have with the current model. It's nice to see too that Dodge didn't follow Chevy & especially Ford in making the box rails so high.

Looks like a second gen cab. The doors have window frames cut into the pillars, so it has to be better for those who deal with snow falling when you open the door.

I like it, the rectangle fogs leaves some room for various lamp changes, but lets hope they got the headlamps right this time. The doors would be nice in the winter and I like the storage compartment & rocker style, grill looks mean for 09.

It is growing on me. . I hated it this morning when I looked at it. Then again, its so much better than the GM offerings. I had better see that crew cab with a long box or I am jumping ship.

When dodge changes the body style like this, does it apply across the board 1500/2500/3500? With Ford, their 1500's are different than their 25/3500's. I'm about ready to order but if the 09 3500's look like this, I'm waiting.



I'm jumping ship from Ford to Dodge so my historical knowledge base is limited.

Last time, the 1500's switched over a model year (2002) ahead of the 2500/3500's (2003).

I'm thinking that Dodge isn't going to double the tooling required to build two different bodies. I will have to say that, unlike the current style, I like this one right out of the box. Sure the current style is good now, but it took several months for it to grow on me. I like this one and it does look like they might have actually done some aero work on it.

TDR front page indicated this would be for the 1500 and not for CTD owners. Keep in mind Dodge is supposed to have a V? cummins in the 1500 series trucks in 2009. Be it not the heavy duty truck with the heavy duty diesel it still is a CTD.

I think the truck looks good. I do hope they fixed the wretched door in the HVAC system. Heck, just make it easy to get to.
