So now that I reached 200K Nov. 1st. , and my floor heater just quit working, my MFS/delay wipers haven't worked since 100K, my leather seat is cracking (I weigh 170), I found an 1-1/2" long piece of retaining ring in my Trans pan at 165K miles (was that ever a surprise).

What else should I expect to fall apart ?

I take meticulous care of my rig, PMS (not the female type) is done more than routine intervals as I NEED to keep my rig running without costly repairs.

The next thing that is likely to fail is one or both of the front wheel bearings. My '01 and '06 both developed a little looseness and roughness in one of the sealed front hub assemblies at around 210k miles. I replaced both at the same time on both trucks. It is a common wear item because you can't clean and repack the bearings. You'll have to replace both hubs and they aren't cheap.

If you do a search, one of our TDR members found an obscure source for the hub assemblies at a price about half what a dealer charges. I think he tracked down the original manufacturer. I can't think of his name right now with my fading and feeble memory but he is a long time member who lives in OH if memory is accurate.

Nope! Been there done that last December. Next ? Lol. .

I did the upper ball joints, hubs and bearings too w/aftermarket hubs that were less than OEM. Axle U-joints too w/zurc fittings same for front and rear drive shaft U-joints and the rear pinion seal.

BTW, are any of you guys greasing that hard to get to middle U-joint just forward of the transfer case ? Need a long needle attachment and good light to get to it.

Thanks again for the reply!
