New Laramie - it's scary

I only have around 700 miles on my new truck, and I have a question regarding the transmission. When I start off from a stop, it feels like I'm spinning the rear tires, except that I'm not. The motor rpm comes up, and I can feel some movement, but it feels like the torque convertor is slipping, or something. Then it hits 2nd gear, and takes right off. It happens at EVERY stop. Should this be something to take to the dealer?

what did you find out?

So far, they are still thinking about it. They ruled out the transmission as a problem right off the giddy-up, and are looking at the two piece driveshaft. They said they had a 2009 mega with a one piece, and may try a swap to see what happens.

Right now, its "wait for the dealer" time.

I thought all the new trucks had a 1 piece driveshaft?, you have a 2010 with a 2 piece, and they want to swap a 1 piece from a 2009?, I am confused.

unless your driveshaft is twisting into a pretzel. . i don't see how this could be your problem?... why did they rule out the transmission?

How many miles do you have now? Does it still do it? I noticed a "shudder" that acted similar to what you are descibing but now that I have 5000 miles on it, its barely noticeable.

I have a 2011 4 door long box with 2 pc. drive live and it shakes hard when I take off. The dealer with my help has decided it is the carrier bearing. I will report back when the new one is installed
